A closer look at Labour’s plans for school-based nurseries
25 September 2024 12:15 - 13:15 (GMT)
About this webinar:
Labour pledged to convert over 3,300 spare classrooms into school-based nurseries once they were in government, in areas highlighted as ‘childcare deserts’.
Their plans intend to make space for 100,000 more childcare places, to meet the expected increase in demand from the expansion of the funded hours.
In this webinar, sponsored by Community Playthings, the audience will hear updates about the current understanding of this scheme.
With practical advice for nursery leaders and business owners interested in what these policies will mean for their businesses, our expert panellists will discuss the opportunities that school-based nurseries will bring and how settings can take advantage of them.

We will also look at the logistics involved when embarking on a partnership with a school, as well as how to navigate the challenges that may come along to ensure child-centred education and care remains at the heart of practice.
The hour-long webinar will take place from 12:15pm to 1:15pm on Wednesday 25th September.
